Project Summary

As an avid fitness enthusiast myself, I took interest in the Sworkit Health brand for its ease of use and access to consumers. I frequently use fitness applications from varying brands across the industry and, as a user, I have certain expectations for a fitness app. After using the Sworkit mobile application, I noticed key areas that could be improved for the user and so this self-led project encapsulates the improvements I would recommend to the Sworkit Brand.

My process included:

  1. Research of the UI from the Sworkit Brand as well as competitive fitness application brands.

  2. Analysis of existing workflows with identification of areas of improvement and key strengths of the application.

  3. Information Architecture Restructuring

  4. Low-Fi Wireframing & Prototype mockup using Figma.

STEPS 1 & 2

Research & Analysis

Conducting Research and Analysis

First, I built out a Miro Board analyzing the various application pages, features, and workflows. Next, I conducted the same process for two popular mobile fitness applications targeted at the same user demographics. These competitors were, “Nike Training Club” and “Apple Fitness”

STEP 3

INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

Information Architecture

After conducting a competitive analysis of the User Interface between the Sworkit Health, Nike Training Club, and Apple Fitness. I analyzed the various categorizations and classifications of all content types currently present on the Sworkit Mobile Application and identified them in the Miro Board.

Finally, I used the data that I had accumulated and redesigned the UI of the Sworkit Health Homepage on Figma. As a reminder, here is the current state of the Sworkit Health Application Homepage.
